SUMMARY
The Switch Truck Driver is responsible for moving full and/or empty 53’ trailers around the grounds of the worksite and assists with handling materials, as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Moves trailers where needed to assist in loading or unloading material
- Completes Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports daily as required by ISO, on the main switch tractor
- Assists in ensuring equipment, parking lots and surrounding areas are kept neat and clean at all times
- Assists in the job duties of a material handler and forklift driver, as needed and/or available
- Follows all safety procedures consistently which includes the use of tractors and/or trailers
- Uses required PPE protective equipment as required which includes, but is not limited to, proper ear, eye and hand protection
- Ability to train others while performing the Essential Duties of this job
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
- Must be able to interact in person with peers and management for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to handle high-stress situations.
- Rotates and assists other team members in various roles as needed.

- Other duties may be assigned, and management retains the discretion to add, delete, or change the duties at any time.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience driving forklift, backing trailers, and/or other material handling equipment is highly preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions and safety standards
- Ability to drive and maneuver switch truck alone and with 53’ trailers
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, follow timelines and execute instructions
- Ability to work within a loud, wet, and physically demanding work environment
- Ability to train others while performing the essential duties of this job
