SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of custom jobs from receipt of order to completion. To include, quotation of custom extruded aluminum shapes and other materials, implementation of new business awarded from customers, and daily project management of existing business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Gathers data from customers and submits quotations to vendors.
• Meets with customers to discuss project scope, requirements, and expectations.
• Works with department managers, supervisors, and outside vendors to develop quotations on internal and external processes.
• Compiles information and develops quote for internal review, submits quotations to customers, and follows up as necessary.
• Initiates ECN as required and inputs information into business system, i.e., part numbers, bill of materials, purchasing information, etc.
• Assists with documentation and development of job routing including job packets and related paperwork.
• Assists with coordination and documentation of equipment and tooling needs.
• Monitors and reports progress of project and deadlines.
• Assists quality department with engineering change notices, and continuous improvements.
• Monitors production deadlines, material, manufacturing costs, and pricing to customers for project launches.
• Assists with updating cost buildup on existing parts.
• Assists with developing other project based needs (packaging, transportation, tooling, etc.)
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Minimum 1-2 years of inside sales, purchasing, project management, or related experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office or similar software.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• This position typically works in an office environment, but may require occasional travel to company sites, client locations, or industry events.
• May work in a noisy environment.
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
• May be exposed to moving and mechanical parts and potential exposure to electrical shock.
