JOB SUMMARY:

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, products, and services to support business operations. This role ensures the organization receives high quality goods at competitive prices while maintaining strong supplier relationships and adhering to company policies and budget requirements. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements while building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure reliable supply. 
• Monitor and review supplier performance, addressing issues related to quality, delivery, service, and disputes, and recommending improvements as needed. 
• Create and process purchase orders accurately, track order status, expedite materials when necessary, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services while resolving discrepancies related to orders, invoices, and deliveries. 
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to prevent shortages or excess stock, collaborating with internal departments to support production and sales requirements. 
• Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions, identify cost saving opportunities, and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes. 
• Manage purchasing budgets in alignment with financial constraints. 
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications, providing relevant information to accounting, sales, and production teams. 
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills. 
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
