The School District of Baraboo is seeking applicants for several Part Time Regular Education Paraprofessionals throughout the district for the 2026-2027 school year. Approximate start date is August 24, 2026. The regular schedule will vary based on location. Schedules can be viewed at the links above. Starting minimum compensation is $16.00/hour.

Qualifications: The successful candidate for this position must demonstrate the ability to work successfully with children and possess excellent oral and written communication skills paired with strong interpersonal abilities. This role requires a highly organized professional who can work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Furthermore, the ideal candidate must be a skilled problem solver who consistently interacts in a positive, constructive manner with students, district employees, parents, and community members alike.

Hiring Requirement: The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) requires all instructional paraprofessionals in the district to meet Title I hiring requirements. To meet Title I hiring requirements you must have completed at least two years of higher education which is equivalent to at least 48 semester hours from an accredited higher education institution; or hold an associate degree (or higher); or be able to demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment (e.g. Master Teacher Assessment), knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.

District Description: The School District of Baraboo is an EC-12 grade district with a 4K program, five elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school with a total student population of 2,700 students. The District employs approximately 255 certified teachers and 175 non-certified staff. Baraboo is located in Sauk County and is among the most scenic areas in the state!
