Job Description: The School District of Baraboo is seeking applicants for a Special Education Paraprofessional at Gordon L. Wilson Elementary School. Approximate start date is August 25, 2025 The regular schedule will be 35.5 hours per week; 7:45am - 3:45pm M, T, TH, F and 7:45am - 1:30pm on Wednesdays. Starting minimum compensation is $18.00/hour with benefits.

Qualifications: This position will require the individual to work with students who are identified with disabilities. The requirements for this position include: able to work with students who may have emotional, learning and multiple handicaps, ability to connect and communicate with students and families, and ability to lift at least 30 pounds. In addition, the selected candidates must have, or must be able to obtain prior to their first day, a Special Education Program Aide license.The applicant must also be what is considered highly qualified. To be highly qualified, the applicant must have completed a 2-year degree, 48 credits of coursework or be able to pass the Master Teacher assessment.
