What are the responsibilities and job description for the PM Custodian - Full time with full benefits position at School District of Altoona?
The School District of Altoona has a PM custodial position available. We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our team. The individual selected for this position will be awarded a full benefit package. Typical hours during the school year are 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm Monday - Friday. Summer hours can vary with the possibility of 4 - 10 hour shifts. Some overtime and weekend hours will be required as well.
District Overview: The School District of Altoona serves students in Early Childhood through Grade 12 in Altoona, WI. Altoona is located in west central Wisconsin in the heart of the Chippewa Valley and is currently one of the fastest growing cities in Wisconsin. Contiguous to Eau Claire, Altoona has easy access to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Chippewa Valley Technical College. The School District of Altoona serves a student population of 1,800 students.
The school custodian cleans the buildings, equipment, and furnishings. They ensure the common areas, offices, and classrooms are clean. The custodian will have an area of responsibility within the school in which they are responsible for. Sweeps, cleans, mops or vacuums classrooms, offices, hallways, gyms, cafeterias, LMC and labs
Cleans bathrooms daily
Keeps all walkways, entryways and steps clear of snow and/or other debris
Performs minor repairs including plumbing, electrical and carpentry
Performs up keep of lighting fixtures
Ensures all paper products are kept in supply and appropriate dispensers are filled
Sets up seating and equipment for all activities at the direction of the Director of Maintenance, principal or his/her designee
Moves furniture at the direction of the Director of Maintenance, principal or his/her designee
Checks doors and secures building at the end of their shift
Is able to work occasional overtime and/or weekend days as directed by the Director of Maintenance, principal or his/her designee
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance, principal or his/her designee
Must be hard working, reliable and have a positive attitude.
