What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at School District of Altoona?
The Groundskeeper maintains the District’s grounds and facilities so all students, staff, community members and guests have safe experiences and are exposed to clean, aesthetically pleasing environments. This position also performs general, routine ground duties to prevent operational and/or safety concerns while responding promptly, effectively, and efficiently to issues that do arise.
This is a full time/year-round position. Hours are variable dependent upon what issues need to be addressed. Many school days will be 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. However, snow or other factors can alter those times. There is the potential to work four 10-hour shifts during the summer.
