POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant supports the efficient operation of the Early Education Center by providing clerical, organizational, and communication support. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, positive family engagement, and compliance with district and state early childhood requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree with a knowledge of Early Childhood Education
- Strong knowledge of all Google and Microsoft Based Programs
- Efficient written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, offering attention to detail and problem solving
- Strong time management skills, ability to complete tasks on time and efficient daily work ethic
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well with colleagues and school families
- Ability to take initiative and successfully execute daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Possess an outgoing, welcoming personality with a joyful disposition.
- Execute daily office routines and practices associated with a positive, productive, and smoothly run office.
- Maintain student records as required.
- Receive and route all incoming calls.
- Maintain a daily teacher attendance log and records for substitute teachers.
- Assist in processing all changes in student schedules.
- Maintain a log of visitors to the school.
- Maintain school activity count.
- Perform other duties necessary for the position

Caliche Elementary and Caliche Jr/Sr High School, located outside Iliff, CO, are a part of RE-1 Valley School District. The District Administration Center is located in Sterling, CO (Logan County) in the Northeastern corner of Colorado on Interstate 76 alongside the Platte River. Having the largest population, approximately 13,900, in Logan County and much of the surrounding area, Sterling offers shopping, restaurants, numerous parks, a recreation center, access to medical care and is located near North Sterling Reservoir.
