Are you passionate about robotics, automation, and hands-on technical work? We're seeking a Robotics Service Technician to support an innovative automotive robotics company in Woburn, MA. In this role, you'll work alongside a team of experienced RICOH technicians to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize advanced robotic systems that are shaping the future of automation.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair robotic and electromechanical systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Assist in assembling, installing, configuring, and commissioning robotic systems and components.
  • Support automation equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, and software-controlled technologies.
  • Install system updates and perform software maintenance following technical guidelines.
  • Collect and analyze system data to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Perform diagnostics, testing, mapping, configuration, and system validation.
  • Work directly with client representatives and vendor partners to ensure outstanding service.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians to resolve technical challenges efficiently.
  • Drive to customer locations within the Woburn area as needed.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and follow all safety procedures.
  • Contribute ideas that improve operational efficiency and system performance.


Qualifications

  • Degree or certificate from a vocational school, technical college, or higher education institution in Robotics, Mechanical Technology, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting electromechanical equipment (required).
  • Experience as an automotive technician, industrial maintenance technician, robotics technician, or similar technical role is highly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Comfortable using computers to perform diagnostics and service tasks.
  • Familiarity with Linux or command-line environments is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Frequently use hands and tools to repair and assemble equipment.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift equipment, often using carts or pallet jacks.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced technical environment.


Interview Process

Qualified candidates will participate in:

  1. Initial interview with the hiring manager.
  2. In-person interview with the customer, including a hands-on technical skills assessment to evaluate troubleshooting and mechanical capabilities.
