Production Associate
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Shift: Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 1:30 AM
Shift schedules may include weekends based on business needs.

Position Summary
The Production Associate is responsible for supporting production operations by following supervisor instructions to meet daily production goals while maintaining quality, safety, and sanitation standards. This role involves working in cold environments, handling production materials, and assisting with various operational duties as needed.
Candidate Pre-Screen Questions
The following questions must be answered and listed at the top of the candidate’s resume:
- Are you able to stand for up to 10 hours per day?
- Are you comfortable working in a cold environment and entering/exiting chillers (38°F) throughout your shift?
- Are you comfortable wearing ear protection in a noisy production environment?
- Are you comfortable wearing PPE including a lab jacket, safety glasses, helmet, and shoe covers?
- Are you comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance from another associate?
- Are you comfortable transferring production carts in and out of chillers and flipping trays when needed?
- Are you willing to perform additional duties, including assisting in the kitchen area if needed?
- Are you bilingual in Spanish? (Preferred but not required)
- Do you have prior food industry experience?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Monitor product transfers from filler to chiller
- Notify supervisors or leads of any product discrepancies
- Transfer production carts in and out of chillers
- Organize and stage products in designated work-in-progress (WIP) areas
- Align products correctly in the Garvey table area
- Flip trays in chillers when necessary
- Rework products that do not meet specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization following 5S standards
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment
- Follow HACCP principles, GMP standards, food safety, and personal safety procedures
- Assist in other departments, including kitchen operations, as assigned
- Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
- Basic math skills required
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work while wearing PPE
- Comfortable working in noisy environments
- Ability to work in cold and/or hot temperature zones for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous food manufacturing or food industry experience
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
