Position Overview
We are seeking a customer-focused and technically skilled Print Management First Responder to support a large healthcare environment. This role is responsible for responding to printer-related service requests, troubleshooting printer and hardware issues, resolving paper jams, delivering toner, supporting new printer installations, and providing exceptional customer service to hospital staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, Technical Support, Printer Support, or Hardware Support experience who enjoy hands-on troubleshooting and problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to printer service requests throughout the hospital campus.
- Diagnose and resolve printer hardware issues.
- Troubleshoot and clear paper jams and print errors.
- Deliver and replace toner supplies as needed.
- Support installation, relocation, and setup of printers and multifunction devices.
- Perform basic hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with end users regarding service issues and resolutions.
- Escalate complex technical issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate service records and support documentation.
- Provide outstanding customer service while supporting a healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
Technical Experience
- Previous IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, Technical Support, or Hardware Support experience.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware-related issues.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently.
- Familiarity with printers, copiers, scanners, or other office equipment is highly desirable.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Basic PC and computer skills.
- Ability to use logical reasoning to identify and resolve technical issues.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout a large hospital environment.
- Comfortable handling printer installations and equipment relocations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Printer support or printer technician experience.
- Copier technician experience.
- Managed Print Services (MPS) experience.
- HP certifications or related technical certifications.
- Experience supporting healthcare, hospital, or corporate environments.
- Experience installing network printers and multifunction devices.
