What will you do?

  • Main responsibilities:

    • Strong ability to test low and medium voltage SE products including Switchgears, Switchboards, Panelboards, Breaker’s and MCC’s.
    • Ability to work closely with Engineering and identify issues with electrical drawings.
    • Ability to follow ITP’s and perform FAT’s
    • Maintain Repair/Calibration database
    • Job entries & maintenance of records on database including associated paperwork and time tracking
    • Prepare detailed service and failure records
    • Ability to meet project deadlines and strong focus on customers

     

    Safety, Health & Environmental Responsibilities include: 

    • Attend 100% of mandatory safety training arranged by HS&E Department
    • Maintain in good condition and wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment
    • Report all hazards, incidents and accidents immediately to your supervisor / manager
    • Comply with all Provincial HS&E legislation and regulations and Company policies and procedures
    • Maintain good housekeeping habits

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?

           • Experience with low and medium voltage equipment
           • Minimum of 1 year experience in testing, troubleshooting & failure analysis of electrical equipment
           • Sound theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience on electrical testing including                  ability to use High Pot test Set, Current Injector, Megger insulation resistance meter,                      Multi Meter, Relay Test Set, Corona test Set
           • Validating/correcting existing technical documents including test procedures
           • Capable of managing technical tasks with minimal supervision, technical information,                and documentation.
           • Possess strong analytical skills and ability to interpret schematics.
           • Computer proficient
           • Possess strong interpersonal skills, and communication skills (written and oral) to                        convey technical findings/issues/topics to corresponding parties.
           • Strong organizational skills
