Registered Dental Assistant

Job Summary

We are currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant for our fast paced, family-owned dental practice located in the Collierville, TN. We are energetic and passionate about what we do. We are seeking qualified candidates who share our vision, values and commitment to superior customer service. Successful candidates must have excellent customer service skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Experience using Dentrix is preferred. This is a full time position and the pay rate depends on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks as needed.
• Operate 3D scanners for imaging when required.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Fridays 8am-12pm.

Experience

• Knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology is essential.
• Familiarity with general dentistry practices.
• Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and equipment.
• Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role is advantageous.
• Understanding of various dental systems, including Dentrix, is preferred.
• Ability to maintain professionalism while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
