Schickedanz Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team.
The Superintendent would be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to our company’s standards for quality and craftsmanship.
We are looking for a dependable, organized leader who takes pride in construction, knows how to manage subcontractors and crews, and can keep a project moving from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily construction activities and coordinate all work on the jobsite
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and inspections
- Maintain project schedules and identify potential delays before they become problems
- Monitor workmanship and ensure construction meets plans, specifications, and company quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsites
- Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and details
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Track materials, equipment, manpower, and jobsite needs
- Identify and resolve field issues efficiently
- Monitor jobsite safety and ensure company and OSHA requirements are followed
- Document jobsite progress, changes, inspections, and other important project information
- Help coordinate punch lists and ensure projects are completed properly and on schedule
- Represent Schickedanz Construction professionally with clients, subcontractors, and other project partners
Qualifications
- 5 years of construction experience, with previous superintendent or foreman experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction practices
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in the field
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency with construction management software and technology is a plus
