Schendel Lawn & Landscape is looking for an Irrigation Technician to join our Lawrence team.

We provide professional lawn care and landscaping services to residential and commercial customers throughout Lawrence, Topeka, and Manhattan. Our goal is simple: create flourishing outdoor spaces while enriching the lives of our co-workers, customers, and communities.

Whether you already have irrigation experience or you're looking to learn a skilled trade, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

What you'll do

As an Irrigation Technician, you'll work directly with customers and help keep their irrigation systems operating properly throughout the year. Your responsibilities will include:

• Start up, shut down, and winterize irrigation systems
• Diagnose and repair irrigation system problems
• Install new irrigation systems and components
• Perform routine irrigation system maintenance
• Communicate professionally with residential and commercial customers
• Work safely and efficiently in a variety of outdoor environments
• Perform seasonal and off-season duties, including snow removal

What we're looking for

You don't need to be an irrigation expert to join our team. We are willing to train the right person.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a strong, dependable work ethic
• Takes pride in doing quality work
• Is comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
• Can communicate professionally with customers and co-workers
• Is willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibility
• Has a valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Has irrigation, lawn care, landscaping, plumbing, electrical, or other skilled-trade experience (a plus, but not required)
