Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Schaefer Plastics is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily production floor operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supporting production employees, maintaining workflow, driving accountability, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.

• Lead daily production floor operations to meet safety, quality, and output goals




• Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to production employees




• Monitor workflow, staffing, and floor activity to keep production on track




• Communicate delays, problems, or risks to management promptly




• Help coordinate materials and production readiness before jobs begin




• Ensure quality standards, work instructions, and operating procedures are followed




• Support troubleshooting and problem-solving on the floor as issues arise




• Reinforce safety standards, housekeeping expectations, and company policies




• Complete and support required production documentation and checks




• Partner with leadership and other departments to maintain smooth operations

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment




• Technical training or experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting preferred




• Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and multitasking skills




• Strong verbal and written communication skills




• Good math skills




• Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word

• A hands-on leader who is comfortable being active on the production floor




• Someone who can set clear expectations and hold a team accountable




• A supervisor who works with urgency, consistency, and follow-through




• A leader who can adapt quickly in a fast-moving production environment
