Palletizer

Summary: 

Daily set-up, operations, and cleaning, of the finished goods robotic palletizer system and automated case taping machine. Input new pallet configurations into the system and select the current configurations to match the forming department production during the shift. Maintain proper levels of supplies within the system, including pallets, slip sheets and stretch wrap.  Enter the finished goods cases into SAP, printing out inventory tags and applying them to the proper pallets after stretch wrapping. Maintain tape levels in case sealer. Safely, clear out any jams that may occur during the shift in the case sealer and palletizing system.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate console that controls automatic palletizing equipment to sort, transfer and stack pallets containing finished product.
• Ensure palletized product meets customer specification
• Move pallets around warehouse with hand or electric pallet jack.
• Observe packages moving along conveyor to detect defective packaging; deflect packages to predetermined reject lines.
• Control stacking arrangement of packages on pallet and transfer loaded packages to storage or delivery platform.
• Maintain production change overs and paperwork are accurate, neat and 100% filled and signed off.
• Submit completed paperwork to front office at the end of each day.
• Ensure proper labeling, packaging, correct utilization of shrink wrap, etc.
• Inform supervisor of equipment malfunction.
• Keep record of equipment performances.
• Ensure that all safety, quality assurance and company policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
• Promote a safe and secure work environment.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Pay rate between $15-$17 per hour based on experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of experience preferred
• Experience in manufacturing preferred
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
