Machine Operator

Machines: Workday is spent in a factory which ranges in temperature from 70 - 100 degrees

Labeler: The label operator spends all their shift standing next to a conveyor belt, verifying the labeling process remains consistent, set labeler for operations, run labeler to ensure a steady flow and avoid downtime. Report any equipment issues to the Supervisor or a member of the Maintenance Team. Ensure that the labels are correct for the product being run. Ensure that the candles are labeled neatly and precisely. Be alert for any product or date code defects. Ensure that all machine guards and all safety switches are in place and in working order on the label machine. Communicate with Maintenance to ensure machines are set up and running properly. Be able and willing to work on labelers for all production lines with equal proficiency.

Check product specification to ensure correct packaging materials and raw materials are being used and coding is correct. Continually check products to ensure that they are within specifications and of high quality. Perform machine changeovers as required. Adjust machine as necessary and observe to detect any malfunctions, keep work area clean, perform cleaning on machines as required between orders, perform trouble shooting, minor repairs and communicate with mechanics regarding any mechanical problems, have constant awareness of production flow.

Responsibilities:

• Operator will meet or exceed the established quality and production standards (operator efficiency 80% or higher)
• Performs quality control checks.
• Adheres to all SOP
• Oversee and coordinate line operations and activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
• Provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the plant
• Log and record readings for equipment and procedures
• $15-$17 depending on experience

• Ability to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in plant operations or other related fields
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
