Yearbook Advisor
2026-2027 School Year
Qualifications: Creative Individual with strong project management and organizational skills.
Reports To: Building Principal
Job Goal: Act as the primary guide for the yearbook staff, facilitating instruction in journalism, graphic design, and project management, while overseeing the year-long lifecycle of planning, funding, creating, and distributing the final publication.
Performance Responsibilities and Duties:
- Train student editors and staff on photography, copywriting, and layout/design principles.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity.
- Create and manage a year-long production schedule to meet deadlines.
- Review and approve pages for accuracy, clarity, and consistency before the final submission.
- Ensure all publication content adheres to school policies and privacy regulations.
- Teach and guide students in writing, editing, design principles, and digital photography.
