If you have an engineering background and want to shape what gets built at a systems level, this role is designed for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Write highly technical PRDs for platform features: define API contracts, data models, error handling strategies, rate limiting policies, and versioning approaches
- Work directly with engineering leadership to align on technical architecture before committing to roadmap timelines
- Define the developer experience for new product capabilities: documentation requirements, SDK design, CLI tooling, and migration paths for breaking changes
- Manage integration partnerships and third-party API relationships; coordinate technical requirements across external teams
- Build and maintain the product analytics framework for platform usage metrics, API adoption, error rates, and developer success signals
- Communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to business stakeholders and executive leadership without losing accuracy
- Participate in engineering planning: architecture reviews, incident post-mortems, and quarterly technical roadmap sessions
- 3–8 years of product management or technical program management experience on platform, infrastructure, or API products
- Strong technical foundation - ability to read code, understand system architecture, write pseudocode, and evaluate engineering tradeoffs independently
- Experience managing developer-facing products: APIs, SDKs, or CLI tooling where the end user is a software engineer
- Stakeholder management across engineering leadership and business executives simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical constraints into clear product tradeoffs and customer-facing communication
- Bonus: prior software engineering background (SWE or data engineering), cloud infrastructure domain knowledge, or experience with developer experience tooling
