Key Responsibilities
- Write complex SQL queries against Epic Clarity and Caboodle to extract clinical, operational, and financial data for reporting and analysis
- Build and maintain Power BI or Tableau dashboards for ED throughput, OR utilization, readmissions, quality measures, and revenue cycle performance
- Design and implement ETL processes that move Epic data into analytical data marts with appropriate refresh schedules and quality controls
- Translate clinical and administrative requirements from physicians, nurses, and hospital administrators into clear analytical specifications
- Implement HL7/FHIR-compliant data structures where integration with external clinical data sources is required
- Enforce data governance standards: data dictionary maintenance, access controls, and lineage documentation
- Train and support end users - clinical staff and executives - on dashboard navigation and self-service reporting
- 3–8 years of healthcare BI or data analytics experience
- Epic Clarity or Caboodle experience strongly preferred - Cogito certification is a major advantage
- Advanced SQL: complex joins, window functions, and performance tuning in a healthcare data environment
- Power BI or Tableau at a senior level: multi-source dashboards, row-level security, and calculated field complexity
- Working knowledge of healthcare data standards: ICD-10, CPT, HL7/FHIR, HIPAA data handling
- Ability to work directly with clinical stakeholders to gather requirements and validate output accuracy
- Bonus: Cerner CCL/PowerChart SQL, MEDITECH, Qlik Sense, Epic Radar dashboard experience
