Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our clinical team at a residential treatment center in Flint, MI. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity working with individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment in a structured residential setting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric care, medication management, clinical assessment, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team. This role is well-suited for a provider who is compassionate, clinically sound, and comfortable supporting clients with mental health, dual diagnosis, and substance use-related needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing clinical assessments for clients in residential treatment.
- Provide medication management, including prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting medications as clinically appropriate.
- Develop and maintain individualized treatment recommendations in collaboration with the clinical and medical team.
- Monitor client progress, psychiatric symptoms, medication response, and overall clinical presentation.
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, nursing staff, medical providers, and leadership to support client care.
- Complete accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and discharge planning as needed.
- Provide psychoeducation to clients regarding diagnoses, medication compliance, symptom management, and recovery support.
- Assist with crisis intervention, risk assessment, and stabilization planning when clinically indicated.
- Ensure all services are provided in compliance with state regulations, scope of practice, ethical standards, and facility policies.
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Michigan.
- Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification preferred or required depending on facility standards.
- Experience working in behavioral health, residential treatment, substance use disorder treatment, or dual diagnosis care strongly preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and medication management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, professionalism, and organizational skills.

Compensation & Schedule
This is a full-time, in-person position with a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Compensation ranges from $135,000 to $145,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
