Systems Engineer II – Cloud & DevOps

Job Summary:

As an Engineer 2, you will use your technical expertise and professional knowledge to solve complex business and technology problems. This role serves as a subject matter expert within your area of focus and supports the evaluation, design, and improvement of technical solutions through requirements gathering, testing, research, and investigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform (HCL)
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Maven/Gradle
• Develop and support automation scripts using Groovy, Bash (Linux Shell), and Python
• Deploy, configure, and maintain infrastructure and applications across environments
• Support end-to-end application platforms, including:
• Java-based backend services (Apache, Tomcat, Spring Boot)
• Frontend applications built with Node.js and TypeScript
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, application, and deployment issues
• Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements including security, compliance, performance, and cost
• Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and process improvement
• Evaluate system effectiveness through testing, research, and analysis
• Provide recommendations to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications:

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (current or future)
• 3 years of related engineering or DevOps experience
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Maven/Gradle, or similar tools)
• Strong scripting experience with Groovy, Bash (Linux Shell), and Python
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC), specifically Terraform and HCL
• Experience building and supporting cloud infrastructure in AWS, including services such as EC2, EBS, S3, CloudFront, Route53, and others
• Experience supporting full-stack application environments, including Java backend services and Node.js/TypeScript applications
• Experience working with content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root cause and drive resolution
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• AWS cloud certifications
• Experience with automation tools such as Chef or similar configuration management tools
• Strong automation mindset with focus on repeatable and scalable processes
• Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, firewalls, routing, CDN/edge services, and certificate management
