Job Title - Senior Technical Designer

A leading name in contemporary women’s fashion, is seeking a creative and seasoned Senior Technical Designer to join our dynamic team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with expert professionals and contribute to elevating a product line in an all-hands-on design experience. The ideal candidate will bring expert-level fit knowledge and understand the brand aesthetic from concept through final approval.

Responsibilities

• Fit, style, and construction expert, who understands the brand and product history
• Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and develop styles that reflect market trends, customer preferences, and brand DNA.
• Create tech packs for new development, including style information, BOM, and specs.
• Lead and manage all fittings from initial proto to SMS. Cut, pin, mark and fit original garments for factory reference.
• Update tech packs with fit notes and SMS requests.
• Track and prepare samples for fittings, and spec samples post-fitting to see how they compare to requests.
• Review and provide feedback on fabrics, trims, and samples - ensuring designs are executed accurately and elevate company standards.
• Assist mainline collection and launch elevated luxury exclusives for majors.
• The ability to sketch and/or CAD is a plus.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 10 years’ industry experience in contemporary to advanced contemporary brands
• Range of knowledge in product categories including soft dressing, draping, tailoring, fully-fashion knits, outwear and denim is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, PLM, and Adobe Suite programs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-preforming environment.
• Ability to multitask and take initiative on projects.
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills

Salary $120,000
