Role is in office 5 days a week

About the Role
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Print Designer to join our team on a temporary maternity leave coverage contract from mid-June through the first week of October 2026. This role is ideal for a creative professional with a strong eye for color, pattern, and textile application, particularly across satin and chiffon fabrics.
The Print Designer will be responsible for creating and adapting print artwork for seasonal collections, ensuring all designs translate beautifully across delicate and fluid fabrications while maintaining brand aesthetic and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create original print and pattern designs for use on satin and chiffon fabrics
- Develop artwork layouts, repeats, and colorways for textile printing
- Prepare production-ready files with accurate scale, color separation, and repeat specifications
- Collaborate closely with design, production, and merchandising teams to support seasonal collections and delivery timelines
- Review strike-offs, lab dips, and print samples to ensure color and print quality accuracy
- Maintain consistency with brand direction and collection themes
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate with mills and vendors regarding print execution and technical requirements
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in print, textile, or fashion graphic design
- Strong portfolio showcasing textile print design experience, preferably on satin, chiffon, or similar woven fabrics
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
- Strong understanding of print repeats, colorways, fabric behavior, and textile production processes
- Excellent sense of color, composition, and trend awareness
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience in women’s fashion, contemporary fashion, or occasionwear
- Knowledge of textile printing techniques and fabric limitations
- Experience reviewing print samples and communicating revisions to overseas vendors or mills
- Ability to adapt quickly and maintain continuity during a temporary coverage period
Salary : $40 - $45
