Job Overview

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department, managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and be an integral part of the team partnering with C-Suite to provide GAAP guidance and support business transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a proven track record of leadership in managing accounting operations.

There will be significant collaboration with international teams and stakeholders across multiple regions to ensure alignment on financial reporting (IFRS/US GAAP/Swiss GAAP). Ensuring consistent adherence to global accounting standards and assist in streamlining cross-border operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Establish and maintain robust internal controls,ensure accurate financial reporting, and comply with regulatory requirements. Oversee the company’s internal and external audit processes.
• Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash management activities, including accounts payable and receivable, and ensure liquidity for operational needs.
• Compliance: Manage and ensure accurate tax filings, working with external accountants and tax advisors as needed. Stay up to date on tax laws and ensure compliance at federal, state, and local levels.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring productivity, training, and adherence to best practices.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting and financial operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least [3] years in a leadership or controller role.
• Experience in a global organization with global stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Microsoft SL, Netsuite, SAP or similar)
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations is a plus.
  
  

Salary $150,000-$175,000 Bonus
