Chief Financial Officer

- Directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.
- Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.
- Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
- Developing and coordinating all relationships with lending/financial institutions.
- Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting. Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
- Advise senior management on financial planning budgeting, cash flow and policy matters.
- Coordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Coordinating and/or preparing tax schedules, returns and information.
- Managing relationships with insurance providers and ensuring compliance.
- Managing all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes.
- Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the finance team.
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
- Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development.
- Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments.
- Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results.
- Other finance and administrative duties as required.
- 7-10 years of managerial accounting and financial management experience
- Experience working in a growing start up environment strongly preferred.
- 7-10 years of EDI knowledge and strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principals
- Experience in scaling a finance operation
- Demonstrated experience in business and strategic planning, managing client relationships
- Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics GP
- Highly eloquent with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Must possess a high level of computer skills to effectively use multiple systems and have advanced knowledge in MS Office
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives.
- Self-starter, hands-on and comfortable taking initiative while quickly grasping concepts, processes and ideas
- Advanced understanding of operational processes and overall business impact
- Highly professional with willingness to adapt to a constantly changing, customer-driven work environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task or work flexible hours when necessary
- Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. MBA, CPA and/or CMA preferred but not required.
Salary : $300,000 - $350,000
