Job Title: Brand Manager – Licensing

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, brand-focused, and relationship-driven Brand Manager to oversee licensing partnerships and support the continued growth of a dynamic global brand portfolio. This individual will serve as a key liaison between the company and its licensing partners, ensuring all products, marketing, and brand initiatives align with overall brand standards and strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate has experience within brand management, licensing, or consumer products and understands how to manage multiple licensees, approvals, timelines, and cross-functional relationships in a fast-paced environment.

This role will partner closely with internal Creative, Sales, Product Development, Marketing, and Executive teams, while acting as the day-to-day contact for external licensing partners.

Responsibilities

Licensing & Brand Management

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with licensing partners across multiple product categories.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for licensees regarding approvals, timelines, product launches, and brand initiatives.
  • Review and approve product submissions, packaging, marketing materials, advertising, social content, and retailer presentations to ensure alignment with brand standards.
  • Maintain consistency across all licensed products and brand touchpoints.
  • Help drive brand growth through category expansion and strategic licensing initiatives.
  • Ensure licensees are adhering to contractual obligations, brand guidelines, and delivery timelines.

Product Approvals & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Manage the approvals process from concept through final production.
  • Partner closely with Creative, Design, Marketing, and Product Development teams to streamline approvals and maintain brand integrity.
  • Track approvals calendars, deadlines, launch timing, and seasonal product submissions.
  • Work with internal teams to provide timely and clear feedback to licensees.
  • Maintain organized records of submissions, approvals, and licensing documentation.

Business & Retail Support

  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and category performance.
  • Support retailer meetings, licensing presentations, and brand strategy discussions.
  • Analyze product performance and identify opportunities for future category growth.
  • Assist with trade shows, market appointments, and key partner meetings.
  • Build strong relationships across retailers, agents, and strategic partners.

Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of experience within licensing, brand management, consumer products, wholesale apparel, or related industries.
  • Experience working with licensed brands, entertainment, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer product businesses strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of product approvals and licensing workflows.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple categories and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and project management tools.
  • Experience working with major retailers, licensees, and/or global partners is a plus.

Salary $90,000-$120,000
