Allocation (Primary Focus – 70%):
The Allocator / Assistant Buyer plays a key role in ensuring the right products are in the right stores at the right time. This position’s primary focus is on inventory allocation and replenishment across our retail store network. Additionally, the role supports the Buyer with key administrative and operational tasks, including purchase order management, vendor communication, and sales reporting. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and has a strong interest in fashion retail and buying.
Key Responsibilities:
Allocation (Primary Focus – 70%):
- Allocate new product launches and replenishment inventory across stores based on store performance, capacity, and sales trends.
- Monitor and adjust stock levels by store to ensure optimal inventory and minimize stock-outs or overstock.
- Partner with the planning team to analyze sales and stock performance to inform future allocations.
- Generate and maintain allocation reports and stock movement trackers.
- Collaborate with distribution and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to stores.
- Assist the Buyer in creating a season buy strategy.
- Assist the buyer in assorting Season Buys.
- Attend buying meetings and assist in preparing line sheets, product overviews, and seasonal buy plans.
- Assist the Buyer in creating and maintaining purchase orders in the system.
- Track shipments and follow up with vendors on delivery timelines and discrepancies.
- Prepare sales reports and performance recaps to inform buying decisions.
- Coordinate product samples, pricing updates, and markdowns with cross-functional teams.
- 2-4 years of experience in allocation, buying, planning, or related retail role preferred.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills; advanced Excel skills a plus.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Passion for fashion and understanding of retail trends.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proactive and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $75,000
