Our events put sponsors in a room with the people who make investment decisions: RIAs, family offices, and institutional allocators. Sponsors buy access and conversation, not booth space.
- Investment Strategy Salon Dinners: Private, curated dinners in cities across the country, where sponsors spend an evening with a hand-picked table of allocators.
- Full-day investment conferences: Regional conferences, including our flagship NJ Intersect, with speaking, hosting, and partnership opportunities.

Our company has been in operation for three years without a dedicated sponsorship sales professional. That means that there is a tested value proposition. You will be the first to put full-time efforts into reaching the market – a blue sky of opportunities, no internal competition for leads or sectors.
Role Overview
We are looking for a self-driven, enthusiastic sales professional who is looking beyond sales towards building a company. This is a commission-only, independent contractor role for a proven business development professional with a documented track record of success in:
- High volume prospecting emails and phone calls to our existing database
- Researching leads to continuously replenish a pipeline of potential sponsors to add to the database
- Closing single and multi-event sponsorship and ticket sales
- Understanding of the investment management industry and the value our events create for participants.
- Remaining organized in a fast-changing start up environment
The right candidate will be able to demonstrate past success in these areas and provide professional references.

Duties
- Identify and pursue new sponsorship opportunities through lead generation and cold calling.
- Work with our team to create compelling sales materials.
- Negotiate sponsorship agreements that meet both client needs and company objectives.
- Utilize spreadsheets and CRM software to track leads, manage accounts, and analyze sales performance.
- Provide insights and analysis on market trends to inform sales strategies.
- Maximize sales opportunities through cross selling into different markets/events.
- Upsell additional services or products to existing sponsors to enhance their experience.
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in B2B environments.
- Background in business development or direct sales is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with investment management and economic development is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, complemented by strong customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple accounts effectively.
