About Asset Allocator Institute
Asset Allocator Institute brings professionals together through private dinners, regional conferences, and other curated events. Our attendees come to stay on top of trends, meet service providers, and find relevant investment opportunities.
What you'll sell
Our events put sponsors in a room with the people who make investment decisions: RIAs, family offices, and institutional allocators. Sponsors buy access and conversation, not booth space.
- Investment Strategy Salon Dinners: Private, curated dinners in multiple cities, where sponsors spend an evening with a hand-picked table of allocators.
- Full-day investment conferences: Regional conferences, including our flagship NJ Intersect, with speaking, hosting, and partnership opportunities.
What's next
- Music industry: We're relaunching the Hudson Valley Music Summit, bringing together artists, labels, managers, venues, and the companies that serve them.
- Economic development: We're building events for regional economic development professionals.
- Special events: We create new events when the right opportunity comes along.
Your opportunity
We've operated for two years without a dedicated sponsorship sales professional, so the value proposition is tested and sponsors have already paid for it. You'll be the first to put full-time effort into reaching the market, with no internal competition for leads or sectors. You won't inherit a territory. You'll help build one, with first access to every new market as it launches.
What you'll do
- Prospect our existing database through high-volume email and phone outreach.
- Research new leads to keep your pipeline full.
- Close single-event and multi-event sponsorships, along with ticket sales.
- Negotiate agreements that work for both the sponsor and the company.
- Track leads and accounts in our CRM.
- Cross-sell sponsors into additional cities and events, and upsell existing sponsors.
- Work with our team to create compelling sales materials.
What we're looking for
- A documented track record in B2B sales, business development, or sponsorship sales, ideally in a commission-based role.
- Understanding of the investment management industry and the value our events create for participants. Familiarity with economic development or the music industry is a plus.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and stay organized in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Professional references.
Candidates with existing relationships among asset managers, fund sponsors, or other buyers of event sponsorship are especially encouraged to apply.
- If you're a self-driven sales professional who wants to help build a company, not just fill a seat, we'd like to hear from you.
