We are in search of an experienced IT Technician to help support and maintain all IT related areas within our manufacturing environments. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and skill in troubleshooting hardware/software issues, networking, and server administration. This position also requires a willingness to work in hot, cold, dirty/dusty environments on shop floor computers, network equipment, and printers as required to keep production operational.
This job is in an office Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
Position Accountabilities
- Provide support for user devices which include desktop/laptop computer, tablets, projectors, and cellphones.
- Provide support to shop floor devices which include Zebra printers, thin clients, and barcode scanners.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, operating system, and networking problems; repair and recover from hardware or software failures, virus infections and other issues.
- Increasing ability to resolve tickets on first contact.
- Follow up with users, provide feedback, and provide complete resolution of issues.
- Provide both in person and remote training to users when appropriate.
- Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, tickets, and in-person requests for assistance from users.
- Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems and confirms success of actions and restoration/establishment of service.
- Report status of projects and assignments to management on a regular basis.
- Act as contact for vendors regarding hardware or software issues.
- Perform other job duties as assigned with a high degree of flexibility and professionalism.
Skills/Knowledge Required
- Experience supporting portions of a Windows Server environment, including common services such as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Familiarity with RDP/RDS environments and the ability to assist with common connection, session, and performance issues.
- An understanding of data communications including ethernet, wireless, VPN setup and installation, ISPs, troubleshooting networking problems and issuing appropriate resolutions.
- Fundamental knowledge of IP phone telephony.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
- Time Management and organizational ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to train users and troubleshoot issues.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.

- Software Troubleshooting: 5 years
- Server Administration: 3 years
- High School Diploma
- US work authorization
Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
