My IT Guys helps small businesses make technology a painless advantage through proactive protection and responsive support. We’re looking for an experienced, part-time technician to work directly with me to support our clients with responsive service and strong documentation.
Schedule
- Part-time, up to 30 hours per week
- Hours must be flexible: some weeks may be as light as 5 hours, others up to 30, based on client demand
- Great fit for someone recently retired who wants flexible, meaningful work without a full-time schedule
What you’ll do
- Provide remote and onsite (when needed) support for small business users (Windows and macOS environments)
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 issues (email, accounts, MFA, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams)
- Handle common endpoint support: performance issues, printers, connectivity, user onboarding/offboarding, basic migrations
- Support and maintain MITG’s security-first approach, including:
- Next Gen antivirus and endpoint protection
- Endpoint detection and response (EDR) alert triage and remediation
- Web filtering and safe browsing controls
- Patch management and routine health checks
- Remote access/support workflows and secure configuration practices
- Document work clearly so clients and the MITG team always know what was done, what changed, and what’s next
- Communicate professionally with clients and coordinate priorities with me
Required experience
- 15 years of hands-on IT support experience (help desk, desktop support, MSP, or similar)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows and macOS, printers, networks, and Microsoft 365
- Comfortable working independently, managing time well, and shifting priorities across different client environments
- Friendly, calm, and patient with end users
Nice to have
- Prior MSP experience and strong ticket documentation habits
- Familiarity with security-first support practices (phishing response, account lockouts, endpoint hardening)
- Experience with RMM tools and modern Microsoft 365 administration
