Position Overview
SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Regional EHS Manager on behalf of a large, established shell contractor in the Jacksonville, Florida, area. This is an immediate direct-hire opportunity for a construction safety professional capable of providing EHS leadership across multiple projects and supporting both field and regional operations.
The Regional EHS Manager will work closely with operational leadership, project teams, superintendents, and field employees to strengthen safety performance, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote consistent EHS expectations throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide EHS leadership and oversight across multiple active construction projects
- Support project teams in implementing company safety policies, procedures, and client requirements
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Identify trends, recurring hazards, and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Assist with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action tracking
- Coach project leadership, supervisors, subcontractors, and field employees on safe-work practices
- Lead and support safety meetings, orientations, and employee training
- Monitor compliance with OSHA requirements and applicable state, local, and client standards
- Review project-specific safety plans, JSAs/AHAs, permits, and related documentation
- Support preconstruction planning and the safe execution of high-risk activities
- Maintain accurate EHS records, reports, and performance metrics
- Travel throughout the assigned region as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of progressive construction safety experience
- Previous experience supporting multiple projects or regional operations strongly preferred
- Experience with shell construction, concrete, masonry, structural work, or related trades preferred
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and industry best practices
- Demonstrated ability to influence field teams and operational leadership
- Experience conducting inspections, investigations, training, and program implementation
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500 preferred
- CHST, CSP, or comparable safety credential preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or a related field preferred
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the region
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
