Position Overview
SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to support a long-term data center construction project in Midland, Texas.
This individual will work closely with project leadership and trade partners to ensure site-wide compliance with OSHA standards, client requirements, and project-specific safety expectations. The ideal candidate will bring strong data center, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial construction experience and have the ability to lead safety initiatives in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance for all on-site construction activities
- Conduct documented daily EHS inspections, audits, and safety observations
- Deliver site-specific EHS orientations and ongoing safety training
- Participate in and review Daily Hazard Analyses (DHAs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Support high-risk activities including crane operations, rigging, energized work, fall protection, excavation, and confined space operations
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with project leadership and trade partners to maintain a proactive safety culture
- Review and assist in development and implementation of project-specific EHS plans
- Ensure subcontractors adhere to approved safety policies and procedures
- Verify worker training, certifications, and qualifications
- Track and analyze leading and lagging safety indicators to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Act as liaison with client representatives and project stakeholders regarding EHS matters
- Support behavior-based safety initiatives and positive reinforcement programs
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years of construction EHS experience
- Data center or mission-critical construction experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards
- Experience supporting high-risk construction activities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital safety management platforms
- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 preferred
- BCSP certification highly preferred (CHST, STS-C, ASP, CSP, etc.)
- Strong communication, leadership, and field presence required
