Baker

Gourmet Distribution LLC is seeking an experienced Head Baker to lead production at our Moncks Corner facility. This role is ideal for a disciplined, hands-on professional who takes ownership of quality, consistency, and team leadership in a high-volume production environment.

Position Overview

As Head Baker, you will oversee daily baking operations, ensure product excellence, manage inventory, and set the standard for sanitation and workflow. You will work closely with the production team to deliver consistent, high-quality baked goods inspired by classic French techniques.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and measure ingredients with precision
• Mix, blend, and prepare batters and doughs
• Roll, knead, cut, and shape doughs for breads, pastries, tarts, cookies, and related products
• Set, monitor, and adjust oven temperatures as required
• Ice, glaze, and decorate baked goods to specification
• Oversee daily production flow and output quality
• Prepare, track, and manage inventory
• Maintain strict cleanliness and sanitation standards for workstations and equipment
• Lead by example and support production staff to meet daily goals

Qualifications

• Proven baking experience required (lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to work efficiently in a production setting
• Team-focused mindset with clear communication skills
• Reliable, self-driven, and accountable

Schedule & Compensation

• Shifts: All days except Saturdays and Sundays
• Compensation: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience
