Saverne is a wood-fired modern brasserie from Gabriel Kreuther, the celebrated chef of his two-Michelin-starred restaurant in Bryant Park. Located at The Spiral in Hudson Yards, Saverne reflects timeless hospitality, refined service, and thoughtful dining experiences guided by Michelin-level standards. We are seeking an experienced Maître d’ to lead our Front-of-House welcome experience. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who excels in guest relations, service flow, and team leadership, and who understands how to balance warmth with precision.
What We’re Looking For:
3–5 years of experience in fine dining or upscale/luxury hospitality;
Prior experience as a Maître d’, Head Host, or FOH supervisor;
Exceptional guest engagement and communication skills;
Strong understanding of reservations, pacing, and dining room flow;
Leadership presence with a calm, professional demeanor;
Michelin-starred or fine-dining experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the host team and manage all guest arrivals;
Maintain dining room flow, pacing, and section balance;
Build relationships with regular guests and VIPs;
Communicate closely with management, servers, and kitchen leadership;
Uphold service standards and lead by example on the floor.
