About the RoleCuerno is seeking a Maitre D’ to serve as the centerpiece of our guest reception experience. We’re looking for someone with a refined, polished, and confident presence, capable of creating an elevated first impression while managing a high-energy, high-profile door.This role requires exceptional professionalism, strong hosting ability, and the poise to represent the brand in a stylish, upscale environment. The ideal candidate brings both the grace of luxury hospitality and the operational strength needed to support a busy New York dining room.Key ResponsibilitiesWelcome guests with a warm, elevated, and attentive demeanor, setting the tone for the Cuerno experience.Manage reservations, pacing, and overall door flow using Resy with accuracy and strategic awareness.Coordinate closely with management on seating strategy, VIP handling, and service flow adjustments.Maintain a polished and brand-appropriate presentation in accordance with company standards.Support communication between FOH and BOH to ensure seamless operations throughout service.Assist with special requests, high-touch moments, and guest experience enhancements.What We’re Looking ForA poised, polished, and confident professional presence.Ability to create an elevated welcome experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Strong communication skills and a guest-first mindset.Experience with Resy or a similar reservation platform (highly preferred).Prior hosting or front desk experience in upscale, luxury, or high-profile venues.Composure, grace, and adaptability when managing busy or high-pressure moments.This job description is intended to outline the general nature and responsibilities of the role.
