Satterfield & Pontikes is looking to add a Safety Coordinator to our team! In this role you will coordinate and enforces safety programs across project sites to ensure a safe work environment and full compliance with OSHA, company policies, and client requirements. Support the implementation and monitoring of safety programs across active job sites to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular site inspections, facilitate safety meetings, investigate incidents, and maintain accurate safety documentation. Partner with field leadership and subcontractors to promote a proactive safety culture and implement corrective actions as needed.

Essential Job Functions
- Exercise authority to halt work when immediate risks to life or health are identified, ensuring prompt action in critical situations.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions aligned with company safety policies, guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Support job site inspections by observing conditions, documenting findings, and reporting potential hazards to supervisors.
- Lead incident investigations and collaborate with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
- Collect and document incident and near-miss reports, helping safety leadership track trends and identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a culture of safety by supporting best practices and regulatory requirements at the state, federal, and local levels, as well as contractual obligations in collaboration with S&P operational leadership.
- Educate and mentor project teams on safety policies and procedures, promoting ongoing awareness and accountability.
- Provide general support to safety professionals across multiple job sites, helping with forms, reports, and site logistics.
- Drive safety performance by achieving or exceeding incident rate reduction goals set by the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- OSHA 30 certification is strongly preferred.
- CHST certification, or movement towards obtaining certification, preferred.
