Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Flooring Account Manager to drive growth within our commercial flooring division. This role is responsible for managing and expanding an established portfolio of accounts while actively developing new business within the territory.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within the
flooring industry, and has an existing network they can leverage immediately. This is a
full-cycle account manager role requiring someone who is proactive, disciplined, and
committed to building long-term revenue through consistent prospecting and
relationship development.
This role is responsible for the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, proposal development, pricing, negotiation, closing, and project handoff, while maintaining strong relationships with key clients and partners.
Qualifications
• 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in commercial flooring, building materials, or construction-related industries
• Proven success in new business development and territory growth
• Existing book of business and industry relationships strongly preferred (e.g., general contractors, architects, designers, property managers, facility managers, distributors)
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a quota-driven environment
• Strong understanding of construction project cycles, bidding, and estimating processes
• Experience working with general contractors, architects, designers, or property managers
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills
• Hunter mentality with a consistent track record of prospecting and self-generated business
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with construction and design professionals
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Google Workspace or similar tools
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the territory
