Role Description This full-time, on-site Information Technology Help Desk Technician role is based in Houston, TX. The technician will provide first-level technical support to internal users, including resolving issues with desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, printers, and basic network connectivity. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to help desk tickets, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, installing and configuring systems and applications, and escalating complex issues when necessary. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation of incidents and resolutions, assisting with user account administration, and supporting routine system updates and upgrades. The technician will collaborate with other IT team members to improve support processes and ensure reliable technology operations for the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong Technical Support and Help Desk Support skills, including responding to tickets, prioritizing requests, and providing professional customer service.
- Hands-on experience with Desktop Computers, laptops, operating systems (e.g., Windows), and common office applications.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting hardware and software issues, including basic network connectivity and user access problems.
- Experience with Printer Support, including installation, configuration, and resolving print and connectivity issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree, technical diploma, or relevant IT certifications (e.g., A , Network ) preferred.
