Principal Trading Technology Support Lead
New York City | 4 days onsite
$175,000 to $250,000 base plus discretionary bonus
A top-performing New York hedge fund is looking for a senior, hands-on technology support professional to join its global trading technology organisation.
This is a high-impact role supporting business-critical trading platforms and working closely with traders, engineers and senior technology stakeholders.
You will take ownership of complex production incidents, improve platform reliability and help raise standards across an established global support team.
What you will be doing
- Supporting live trading platforms across execution, positions, P&L and the wider trade lifecycle.
- Leading the investigation and resolution of complex production issues.
- Working directly with traders, developers and senior technology stakeholders.
- Using SQL and Python to investigate problems and automate support processes.
- Driving root-cause analysis, monitoring improvements and long-term remediation.
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring within the support function.
What we are looking for
- Strong trading application or production support experience.
- Good knowledge of financial markets and the end-to-end trade lifecycle.
- Experience supporting front-office or business-critical trading systems.
- Strong SQL skills and working Python experience.
- A track record of owning incidents and solving complex production problems.
- The ability to remain hands-on while providing leadership to others.
- Availability to work four days per week in the New York office.
Experience with FIX, OMS or EMS platforms, electronic trading, market connectivity, allocations, clearing or settlement would be beneficial.
