HR Generalist
Gardners Candies Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Generalist for our Gardners Candies offices. The HR Generalist will be responsible for basic HR functions for the Gardners retail, warehouse, and corporate offices.
The HR Generalist will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department under the direction of the Human Resources Director.
Shift: Full Time, daylight
Benefits: Eligible after the 90-day introductory period
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a business related field
· At least 3 years’ experience in the HR field
· SHRM-CP preferred but not required
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
· Lead the recruiting, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
· Manage the company payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
· Responsible for daily employee relations under the direction of the HR Director.
· Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation in compliance with Federal, State, and local guidelines.
· Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
· Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
· Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
· Provides support for all HR functions.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
