Role Description
This role focuses on hardware board bring-up, debugging, and system validation for FPGA and CPU-based platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful system integration, performance, and reliability.
• Test and bring-up FPGA and CPU-based boards and systems
• Review system specifications for architecture, electrical, power delivery, thermal, and mechanical requirements
• Collaborate with design teams and external vendors to review schematics, layout, and system design
• Work closely with software/firmware teams for tools and system integration
• Research and select electronic components, review datasheets, and validate design requirements
• Strong hands-on experience in board bring-up, debugging, and functional verification
• Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and soldering
• Expertise in one or more:
- High-speed interfaces: PCIe, USB, Ethernet, high-speed serial
- Low-speed interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, JTAG
- Power system design
• Experience in defining system specifications and executing test plans
• Proficiency in schematic and layout tools (OrCAD, Allegro)
• Knowledge of Signal Integrity (SI), Thermal, and Power delivery systems
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
• Familiarity with Open Compute Project (OCP) standards
• Knowledge of x86 platform architecture
• Experience with Linux kernel/drivers
• Programming knowledge: C/C , Python, Verilog, TCL
• Experience with Xilinx FPGA tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering or related field
