Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will set the tone for a positive dining experience by providing a warm welcome and exceptional service. This role involves managing reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, and ensuring smooth guest flow throughout the restaurant. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a passion for hospitality are essential to succeed in this position.

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a brief overview of the restaurant’s menu, specials, and dining experience

Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, ensuring menus, signage, and promotional materials are current and neatly presented

Answer phone calls professionally, offering accurate information about the restaurant and efficiently managing reservations.

Coordinate guest flow and support the waitstaff to ensure a smooth service and a positive dining experience for all guests.

Responsibilities

• Previous experience in guest services or food service is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming and positive dining experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, but not mandatory.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and a desire to ensure guests have an enjoyable experience.

Skills

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems to manage reservations and orders effectively.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
• Knowledge of food service practices is a plus, enhancing guest experiences.
• A friendly demeanor with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
