2nd Shift - part-time and fill-time available (Temporary 6-Month Assignment)

Pay: $17- $20.25/hr [Dependent on schedule]

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking Specimen Processors to join a busy clinical laboratory team. In this role, you'll support laboratory operations by accurately receiving, labeling, and processing patient specimens for diagnostic testing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and computer skills looking to gain hands-on experience in a medical lab setting.

Schedule:

• 2nd shift start times between 2:00–4:00 PM, ending between 10:30 PM–12:30 AM

• Rotating weekends and holidays required

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, label, and process laboratory specimens

• Enter basic data into the laboratory information system

• Load/unload centrifuges and distribute specimens to appropriate departments

• Answer and route phone calls from hospital or lab staff

• Maintain specimen storage, retrieval, and disposal

• Support quality and audit processes as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; some college science coursework preferred

• Previous lab, medical, or data entry experience helpful but not required—training provided

• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and communication skills

Details:

• 6-month temporary role, with immediate start

• Fast-paced lab environment handling biological samples

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
