Internship Overview
As a Teacher's Aide Intern, you will work alongside the Corporate Outreach team to assist with programs and initiatives that support Santee Cooper's commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen.
As a Teacher's Aide Intern, You May Assist With
This internship provides valuable exposure to community relations, corporate communications, event coordination, nonprofit partnerships, corporate giving, and stakeholder engagement. The intern will have the opportunity to develop professional communication, organization, project management, and analytical skills while contributing to programs that make a positive impact in the communities Santee Cooper serves.
What We’re Looking For
Qualified candidates must:
Rising Sophomore: $17.00 per hour
Rising Junior: $18.00 per hour
Rising Senior: $19.00 per hour

Internship Overview
As a Teacher's Aide Intern, you will work alongside the Corporate Outreach team to assist with programs and initiatives that support Santee Cooper's commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen.
- Internships run from May 17, 2027 - August 6, 2027
- Interns will work 40 hours per week
As a Teacher's Aide Intern, You May Assist With
- Assist with the coordination and implementation of community outreach programs and events.
- Support partnerships and initiatives involving organizations such as United Way, local Chambers of Commerce, education partners, the American Cancer Society, and other community organizations.
- Assist with reviewing, tracking, and reporting community sponsorships, charitable contributions, and in-kind requests.
- Collect and organize information used to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of corporate outreach programs.
- Assist with preparing reports, presentations, correspondence, and other materials related to outreach activities.
- Help maintain records and databases related to sponsorships, donations, community partnerships, and outreach activities.
- Communicate with internal departments and external community partners to support outreach initiatives and events.
- Assist with employee volunteer and community engagement activities.
- Research community organizations, programs, events, and partnership opportunities throughout Santee Cooper's service territory.
- Support special projects and other Corporate Outreach activities as needed.

What We’re Looking For
Qualified candidates must:
- Be pursuing a degree in Education, Public Relations or a related field of study
- Have completed their first year at a 2-year college/university (transfer program) or 4-year college/university
- Be enrolled as a full-time student Fall 2027
- Successfully undergo pre-employment physical and drug screen if selected for this position
