Position Description
Supervise and manage all activities related to municipal energy sales, long term capacity purchases, and contract management, including contract negotiations, review and compliance of contracts, and customer service liaison. Ensures cost effective purchases and resource supply based on the latest resource. Provide day-to-day supervision for analysts assigned to their work group. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with key individuals and entities in the wholesale marketplace to include but not limited to power agencies, IOUs, and other public power utilities.
Essential Job Tasks
$130,080 - $162,580 (min. - mid.)

Essential Job Tasks
- Leads the municipal and wholesale market group reviewing opportunities for sales and purchases of capacity and energy using exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Requires frequent contact with customers to ensure capacity and energy needs are being met. Reviews and produces contract summaries and resolves any contract questions or issues.
- Oversees the negotiations with municipal and long term energy and capacity purchase.
- Works with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts meet and fulfill all corporate metrics and planning needs.
- Reviews contracts to ensure compliance and correct billing and resolves any customer needs.
- Works with external consultants as needed.
- Reviews and coordinates with the Resource Planning group and reviews the IRP / resource planning reserve to identify and fulfill any capacity needs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or Math 8 years directly related experience required or Masters Degree in a related field 6 years of directly related experience.
- Must have strong interpersonal, financial, analytical and supervisory skills.
