Position: Wi-Fi Test and Automation Engineer (5 Openings)
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Work Model: Onsite
Duration: 3 Months Contract (Contract to Hire)
Rate: $47/hr on 1099
Position Overview
We are seeking Wi-Fi Test and Automation Engineers with strong experience in device testing,
wireless networking, and broadband hardware. This role involves end-to-end testing,
automation development, and validation of Wi-Fi technologies to ensure high-quality and
stable product releases.
Key Responsibilities
Perform end-to-end user experience testing of gateways, Wi-Fi extenders, and home
networking devices
Cover functional, performance, regression, and interoperability testing scenarios
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using Java and
Cucumber
Validate Wi-Fi technologies including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, mesh networking, band
steering, roaming, and wireless backhaul
Analyze and troubleshoot issues across end-to-end systems
Work with networking protocols such as DHCP, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, NAT, TCP/UDP
Drive automation strategy and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with development, product, and architecture teams to ensure quality
releases
Conduct root cause analysis and recommend improvements
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
Contribute to test strategy at product and feature levels
Required Technical Skills
5–8 years of experience in device testing, wireless networking, or broadband hardware
Strong experience in Wi-Fi testing and automation testing
Experience validating Wi-Fi technologies (802.11 standards, mesh, roaming, etc.)
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, NAT, TCP/UDP)
Experience with automation frameworks and scripting using Java and Cucumber
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Experience working in CI/CD environments
Strong communication and documentation skills
