About Santa Fe South & Santa Fe South High School
Santa Fe South Charter Schools (SFS) is a free, public charter school district serving the south side of Oklahoma City. Grounded in a deep commitment to students and community, SFS exists to ensure that every student experiences a learning environment that is supportive, challenging, and academically rigorous.
Santa Fe South High School is the original SFS campus, launched with fewer than 200 students in a church basement and grown into a comprehensive high school serving more than 900 students in grades 9–12. Often described by students and families as familia, SFS High School is a place where students are known, supported, and challenged. As part of our commitment to academic excellence and our At or Above (AOA) initiative, we invest heavily in teachers and students through intentional systems, strong curriculum, and highly specialized instructional coaching roles.
Summary of the Instructional Coach Position
The Science Instructional Coach is a specialized instructional leadership role focused exclusively on academic achievement in science and coaching high school science teachers. This position contributes to improved student achievement by building teacher capacity through deep content knowledge, data-driven instructional decision-making, and research-based instructional practice.
